The device (1) has a carrier comprising substance dispensing fragrance. The carrier is provided in a one-side opened container (3). The one-side opened container and another one-side opened container (2) are slid into each other to form a closed chamber. The one-side opened containers comprise identical slot-shaped apertures (4) in walls such that the apertures are overlapped in an opposite position of the containers to open the device. The apertures are closed in another opposite position of the containers to close the device. An independent claim is also included for an equipment for dispensing fragrance into a room.
