The mechanism has a ring (1) for indicating days of a month, and a cam (14) rotating around an axis interdependent of the ring, where a kinematic chain is arranged for changing the position of the ring depending on position of the cam. A fixed tooth is arranged to cause rotation of the cam around the axis, when the ring brings the cam to face the fixed tooth, where the cam includes five long teeth (15a) corresponding to month of less than thirty-one days. A correction ring (12) is provided concentric to the days indicating ring.
