The sensor (10) has a synchronous detection device for measuring a distance to an object on the background of detected time intervals. Another synchronous detection device performs a synchronous detection of a received signal of non-reference receiver devices (13p, 13s) on the basis of reference signals, in order to detect a phase difference between the received signals of a reference receiving device (13q) and the non-reference receiver devices. The latter synchronous detection device measures a direction of the object on the basis of the phase difference.
