Biotechnological device, comprises: a bioreactor; a reactor vessel, which is formed in a bioreactor with a culture space; and a tempering device formed and configured with a heat pump to temper the culturing space, where the heat pump is thermally coupled to the culturing space through the reactor vessel and to a reference body (26) made of heat-conductive material with a heat reference potential for the heat pump and heat output from the reactor vessel is transmitted to the reference body, or heat output from the reference body is transmitted to reactor vessel by supplying drive power. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a bioreactor system comprising many biotechnological devices, where the reference body forms a common heat reference potential for heat pumps of many biotechnological devices; and (2) controlling the temperature of culturing space in a bioreactor system comprising many biotechnological device, comprising providing a set point for a culturing temperature in the culturing space for a desired value input of a temperature controller (40), detecting an actual value for the culturing temperature with a temperature sensor device and providing the actual value to an actual value input of the temperature controller, generating a temperature control signal by the predetermined value and the actual value for the culturing temperature in the temperature controller to be processed, discharging the temperature control signal by an output of the temperature controller, and receiving temperature control signal through a heat pump system and controlling the entry of drive energy into the heat pump of the temperature control signal corresponding to the heat pumps controller.
