The airbag i.e. side airbag (1), has two chambers (2, 3) e.g. head and breast chambers, whose two or more layers are connected with each other at edges by a joint (4) to form a cavity. The cavity is divided in the chambers by a layers interconnecting seam (21). The seam is formed by one or more sutures (6, 7). The seam is weakened in a target breaking location (20) by an interruption or weakening portion of the sutures. Width of the target breaking location is in a range of about 50 to 80 mm, preferably 60 to 80 mm.
