The method involves directedly squeezing inert fluid i.e. carbon dioxide, from a line (1) i.e. inner pipe, under pressure in a direction of a fire zone by injection nozzles, where the line is attached in a coal bed (2) or ballast. The fluid is supplied into or at a fire zone via the line. The squeezing of the fluid is predominantly taken place within a spatial angle preferably ranging between 10 degrees and 30 degrees. Openings (5) are formed in a drill pipe (11), and an outer pipe (13) and the inner pipe are attached in a hole (7) in the bed or the ballast for designing the line.
