The method involves forming actual total proportional values as data sets from actual current proportions, where the values are assigned to an origin type, and the current proportions are fed into an electric supply network at a supply region. A data center (4) and a current consumer (2) are connected to a data transfer network. Information about actual current-mix according to a physical origin of the current with the data sets and/or a data set corresponding to portion ratios are directly transferred to the current consumer for utilization or retrieved by the data center. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for providing a physical origin of generated electric current to an information system for power consumers.
