The device has a magnet pin (8) movably arranged in a lock block (2) transverse to an elongate opening (4) between two end positions (E1, E2). The magnet pin is arranged far from a magnetizable plate (10) in one of the end positions (E1), and in direct proximity to the plate in the other end position (E2). Another magnet pin (14) is inversely polarized relative to the former pin, and brings the former pin from the former end position into the latter end position during approaching towards the plate. The latter pin is arranged in a key housing. The key housing is made of plastic.
