The fuel cell stack (3) has several stacked fuel cells (1). Each stacked fuel cells is provided with the bipolar plates (1.1,1.2), and a membrane-electrode assembly (1.3). The frame elements (1.1.1,1.2.1) are mounted on the bipolar plate and on the membrane-electrode assembly at fluid-tightly. The frame element (1.1.1) of bipolar plate (1.1) is connected with the frame element (1.2.1) of the adjacent bipolar plate (1.2). An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing fuel cell stack.
