The lamp has housing that includes pictogram and opaque light distribution panel and pivotable lens-structure-afflicted illuminating panel. A safety lamp main portion is integrated in the inner space of light radiation surface of a lamp module including LEDs which receives power supply voltage from light flux power supply unit. The LEDs are interconnected in series to emit light which is radiated and oriented to the translucent region including window (11) aligned in insulating housing (9) that protects remaining inner space of lamp module from receiving influences. An independent claim is included for a method of inspecting operation of safety lamp.
