The microsieve (10) has a planar water-permeable wire web (12) made of flexible wire web material e.g. stainless material. The wire web exhibits a round kidney-shaped contour. The wire web is curvely secured at a frame (14) that is made of flexible material. The wire web is changeable from a convex position to a concave position. Mesh size of the wire web material is in a range of 200-350 micrometers. A handle (16) is releasably fastened at the wire web or the frame. The stainless material is stainless steel. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring a tissue section from a water bath to a microscope slide.
