The method involves connecting multi-utility communication controller with a smart meter (4) so as to store the accounting-relevant power consumption information. The protected local data transfer is performed between a data concentrator (3) and a display and evaluation unit (5) of mobile device of the consumer. The current power consumption values are transmitted from the data concentrator to the display and evaluation unit of the consumer at timely manner or continuous manner. An independent claim is included for a device for acquiring and displaying counter information of electricity meter.
