The subject of the invention is the use of a compound of formula (I) or of a mixture of compounds of formula (I): nC H -O- (G) -H (I) in which: - G represents the remainder of a reducing sugar, and - p represents a decimal number greater than or equal to 1.05 and less than or equal to 5, in order to solubilize in an aqueous acid composition at least one nonionic surfactant of formula (II): R - (O-CH (R ') - CH 2) n- (O-CH 2 -CH 2) mOH (II) in which R represents a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon-based aliphatic radical containing from 8 to 14 carbon atoms , R 'represents a methyl or ethyl radical, n represents an integer greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 15, m represents an integer greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 15, it being understood that the sum n + m is greater than zero. The subject of the invention is also compositions (C1) comprising, for 100% of its mass, from 0.2% to 40% by weight of compounds of formula (I), from 0.2% to 80% by weight of formula (II) from 1% to 50% by weight of at least one acidic agent, from 1% to 98.6% by weight of water; and their use for cleaning hard surfaces.
