The device has a hydraulic mechanism to slow down and block a course of a metal barrier in the event of brutal push by cattle. The hydraulic mechanism includes a dual-acting cylinder fixed between a pole and the barrier. Two chambers of the cylinder are connected such that oil passes from one side of the cylinder to the other side with certain resistance to decrease opening and closing speed of the metal barrier. A nitrogen ball absorbs overpressure of the oil on each side of the cylinder, and a flow limiter allows adjustment of the speed of manipulation of the barrier by a user.
