The mixer (100) has a parallelepiped enclosure (102) delimiting a mixing chamber (104) in which a bag containing a sample to be mixed is introduced. A mechanical connection (110) i.e. pivot connection, is provided between a front door (108) and the enclosure. The connection is designed to guide the front door between a closed position in which the door blocks a front opening (106), and an open position in which the door is disengaged from the opening according to rotation of the door at angle of 45 degrees along direction moving an upper edge of the door downward and remote from the opening.
