The device (1) has a container containing a cosmetic product, a drying unit (9), and an applicator comprising a rotary application unit (4) i.e. mascara brush. The application unit has a longitudinal axis (Y) that is not parallel to longitudinal axis of the device. The applicator is arranged interdependent of the container and located apart from the container. Movement of the application unit between a storage configuration and a usage configuration is accompanied by crossing of the application unit by the drying unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing make-up of human keratinous matter.
