The system (SYS) has a determination unit (MDE) for determining a dazzling of a front camera (CAM), and an evaluation unit (MDV) for evaluating direction of a vehicle. A determination unit (MDS) determines a direction of the sun, and a comparison unit (MC) compares the directions of the vehicle and the sun. An activation unit (AMDE) is configured to activate the dazzling determination unit when the direction of the vehicle and the direction of the sun are aligned. The evaluation unit includes a geographical positioning system (MGP) to determine longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting dazzling of a front camera of a car by rays of a sun.
