摘要

The method involves estimating a base line of a signal i.e. chromatographic signal, by a set of segments determined by searching open segments of ends whose length is lower than a maximum length, where the open segments do not cut the signal between the ends that are points of a signal. The base line is removed by subtracting the estimation of the base line with the signal. Chemical species present in the sample is identified by analyzing the signal without the base line. The maximum length is defined according to the maximum length observed on the signal between two neighbor peaks.
