Method for determining response time of solenoid to detect malfunction of pre-post insertion type starter of thermal engine of vehicle, involves determining evolution of supply voltage of solenoid and time for raising supply voltage
The method involves charging a solenoid by an electric power storage element and, controlling the rotation of a pinion of a pre-post insertion type starter. The evolution of supply voltage (F1, F2) of the solenoid and time (t1, t2) for raising the supply voltage are determined abruptly, where the voltage is the supply voltage of an engine control of a vehicle equipped of the starter. The time of increase of the voltage supply is detected by determining the derivative with respect to the time of the voltage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for detecting dispersion of response time of a solenoid of a pre-post insertion-type starter (2) a method for synchronizing a pre-post insertion-type starter of a thermal engine of a vehicle.
