The method involves obtaining, by central equipment i.e. controller, information on the position of a pointing device i.e. mobile terminal (501), and obtaining information on the orientation of the mobile terminal. Information on the target position of each device belonging to pointed devices (101-107, 201, 301, 302, 401) is obtained. The pointed devices are identified by the mobile terminal based on the information on the position of the mobile terminal, information about the orientation of the mobile terminal, and the position information of each pointed device.
