The glove (1) has an elastically deformable band (2) to surround a wrist of a gymnast, and a Velcro (RTM: hook and loop fastener) for tightening the band on the wrist. A ribbon (10) made of textile material includes a ribbon portion (10.2) connected to the band, and another ribbon portion (10.3) arranged to cover a palm portion (3), where the latter ribbon portion defines an opening (12) arranged for the passage of a finger (III) of the hand. The latter ribbon portion is arranged so that the opening is placed around a proximal phalanx when the glove is installed on the unfolded hand.
