The unit (1) has a set of spokes (2) that is arranged integrally with a connecting element i.e. connecting ring (4). The connecting element is arranged at a center of the spokes unit, and is rotated integrally with a rim of a bicycle wheel. A tightening element (5) or ring is integrally formed with the spokes unit by connecting two consecutive spokes with each other. The tightening element is connected to the connecting element by a set of radial extension spacers (6), where each spacer is arranged with a section of the set of spokes. An independent claim is also included for a bicycle wheel.
