PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a three-dimensional image in a shorter time.;SOLUTION: An environment restoration device includes: data acquisition means of acquiring three-dimensional point group data on an object; orthogonal three-axis estimation means of estimating as a first main axis a peak of maximum frequency and estimating a second main axis and a third main axis orthogonal to the first main axis in a histogram obtained by calculating respective normals at each point of the acquired three-dimensional point group data from outer products of mutually adjacent nearby points, and voting for geodetic dome models nearest the respective normals; plane position estimation means of defining a coordinate system having the estimated first main axis, second main axis, and third main axis as main axes, converting all three-dimensional point group data acquired by the data acquisition means to the defined coordinate system, and estimating position of peak density for a linear point group projected on each main axis as an existent position of a surface; and surface application means of generating a surface at a position where a three-dimensional point group exists on a plane formed of two main axes which are not orthogonal to each estimated surface so as to generate a three-dimensional image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
