NAME REGISTERING DEVICE AND KANA NOTATION OF NAME REGISTERING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name registering device and a kana (Japanese phonetic letters) notation of name registering method that can, when a name including kanji (a Chinese character or characters) which are read in an unusual way is to be registered, saving trouble otherwise caused to the user in registering the kana notation of the name.SOLUTION: Even when kana-to-kanji conversion is first done regarding a pronunciation inputted in the 50-letter Japanese syllabary and inputting in the 50-letter syllabary is again done by the time an operation to register the pertinent name is performed, data on the pronunciation inputted in the 50-letter syllabary the second or any subsequent time is not used as the reading in kana, but the data on the pronunciation inputted in the 50-letter syllabary by the kana-to-kanji conversion first is finalized as the reading in kana. By successively converting each single kanji separately into kana after the first kana-to-kanji conversion in the reading in kana preferred for registration and finalizing the desired kanji combination for registration, the reading in kana finalized at the time of the first inputting in the 50-letter syllabary is registered.
