PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer and an antenna 1 for the same capable of performing communication with an RFID tag installed in a circular or ring-like region of an item, and of performing communication with ease even when a position of the RFID tag is unknown.;SOLUTION: To a base material 2, a plurality of antenna elements are arranged on a plurality of concentric circles one by one while sequentially shifting a central angle from a maximum concentric circle in one direction. A rotation axis is provided at the center of the concentric circles.
