PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic flow prediction device capable of quickly and highly accurately predicting a traffic flow of vehicles.;SOLUTION: The traffic flow prediction device predicts a traffic flow from vehicle observation information detected by sensors. The traffic flow prediction device includes: parameter adjustment means that acquires a traffic flow and a route selection parameter for minimizing a difference between a traffic flow based on the observation information and a traffic flow obtained by a traffic flow simulation, on the basis of a result of performing the traffic flow simulation using a traffic flow simulation model; and result determination means that repeats a process of acquiring the traffic flow and the route selection parameter by the parameter adjustment means, and an execution of the traffic flow simulation, till a result satisfies prescribed final conditions, the result obtained by re-executing the traffic flow simulation by using the traffic flow and the route selection parameter obtained by the parameter adjustment means as the inputs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
