PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method for a medical RFID tag and the medical RFID tag capable of appropriately performing communication in air and in a liquid.;SOLUTION: A design method for a medical RFID tag comprises the steps of: determining and graphing a communication distance of an RFID tag in air for each resonance frequency; forming a mathematical expression of change in a resonance frequency for an antenna area of the RFID tag in a liquid; determining a magnitude of attenuation of the resonance frequency of an antenna in a liquid having an area selected as a medical RFID tag based on the above expression; determining and graphing a communication distance of the RFID tag in a liquid for each resonance frequency; determining a range of the resonance frequency which satisfies both the communication distances required in air and in a liquid on the basis of the graphed communication distance characteristics of the RFID tag in air and in a liquid; and designing the resonance frequency of the RFID tag so as to be within the range of the resonance frequency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
