PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article display shelf on which an investigation device can be easily set, and which can investigate the action of a person even if the person subjected to the investigation does not carry a special device or medium.;SOLUTION: An imaging element 81 captures an image of a person approaching an article display shelf. A person estimation means 82 for estimating at least the age and sex of the person from the image of the person captured by the imaging element 81. The imaging element 81 and the person estimation means 82 are integrally formed in the article display shelf, and the imaging element 81 is positioned on the front surface of the article display shelf.
