PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass lump molding device suitable for: increasing the production amount of glass lumps; and molding glass lumps of large weight.;SOLUTION: A glass lump molding device includes: a discharge nozzle; first and second metal mold groups; means for sequentially transferring each first metal mold to a first casting preparatory position; means for sequentially transferring each second metal mold to a second casting preparatory position; and moving means for moving the metal mold transferred to each casting preparatory position. After lifting up the first metal mold to position the same to the casting position, the moving means repeats the following (a) to (f): (a) lifting up the second metal mold to juxtapose with the first metal mold at an adjacent position to the casting position; (b) retract the first metal mold from the casting position after molten glass lump is casted therein; (c) move the second metal mold at the adjacent position to the casting position; (d) lifting up the first metal mold transferred next to juxtapose with the second metal mold at the adjacent position to the casting position; (e) retract the second metal mold from the casting position after the molten glass lump is casted therein; and (f) move the first metal mold at the adjacent position to the casting position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
