PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free viewpoint video forming device capable of always displaying an advertisement at a position easily recognized by a user, without obstructing a subject of a video to be provided, even if the user specifies any viewpoint.SOLUTION: A free viewpoint video forming device includes: retention means for retaining data of a subject and a background to generate a free viewpoint video; generation means for generating a video from the received viewpoint with the use of the data retained by the retention means; determination means for determining an area into which a desired advertisement is to be inserted from the background area of the video generated by the generation means; and composition means for generating a video in which the desired advertisement is attached to the area into which the advertisement is to be inserted in the video generated by the generation means.
