A novel subgenomic replicon RNA (nucleic acid) derived from HCV having a genotype 1b and excellent in autonomous replication ability and a full genome replicon RNA (nucleic acid) excellent in autonomous replication ability and infectious HCV particle production ability are provided. In particular, a subgenomic replicon RNA (nucleic acid) and a full genome replicon RNA (nucleic acid) derived from the HCV genome of the NC1 strain, which is a novel genotype 1b HCV isolated from an acute severe hepatitis C patient, are provided.
