PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily attachable automatic door closing device for a sliding door.;SOLUTION: This automatic door closing device includes a door closing drive cord 18 that is flexible enough to be wound. The device comprises the door closing drive cord 18 that extends in the direction of opening and closing of a horizontal sliding door and is installed on the door frame, a rotary part 32 installed in the way that it can rotate around a shaft as the center that is located at a prescribed position relative to the horizontal sliding door, an engagement keeping part 36 to keep the door closing drive cord to be engaged with the outer circumference of the rotary part, and a spring device having spring forces to rotate the rotational part in the reverse direction when it rotates on the door closing drive cord as the horizontal sliding door moves from its closed position toward an open position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
