PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high-accuracy characteristic amount from data indicating real world information at smaller calculation cost. PSOLUTION: A character vector XSBs/SBindicating a characteristic of the whole novel image data ISBs/SBas the data indicating the real world information is obtained based on elements constituting an average vector μSP(j)/SPof pSP(j)/SPpieces of dth-order local characteristic vectors VSBk/SBSP(j)/SPextracted from the novel image data ISBs/SB, and elements constituting mth-order correlation vectors from the first order to the Mth order between the pSP(j)/SPpieces of the dth-order local characteristic vectors VSBk/SBSP(j)/SP(step S130-S180). Thereby, based on the large number of comparatively high-order local characteristic vector VSBk/SBSP(j)/SPextracted from the novel image data ISBs/SB, the characteristic vector XSBs/SBrepresenting the characteristic of the whole novel image data ISBs/SBwith high accuracy can be promptly generated.
