INTEGRAL SYSTEM OF REFLECTIVE CURB WITH STREET WATER DRAINING GUTTER AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

The invention relates to an integral system comprising a reflective street curb and a gutter for collecting street water, intended to be installed before the placement of the bituminous carpet coat, thereby eliminating sewer pits, and to a process for making the same. According to the invention, the system comprises a street curb (1) with two identical cutouts (6 and 7), provided at the top part with two round inclined orifices (3) and a reflective zone (5), in the shape of a bow, placed in the middle of the curb, a gutter (2) with curved bottom (8) and two identical edges (9). The process, as claimed by the invention, consists in preparing the concrete in a concrete mixer having a capacity of 350 l whereto 300 cmof raphia fibres are added and mixed for 5 min, the mixture being then poured into moulds which are subjected to vibrations for 2...3 min, after which the surfaces of curbs and gutters are smoothed and left to harden for 14...16 h, the pieces are removed from the moulds and left for 7 days for final drying, the reflective zone (5) is carried out, the gutters (2) are buried into the road foundation (11) up to their upper lip (10), while being placed on an unhardened self-leveling coping (12) inclined towards the collecting sewer main and, when the coping is hardened, the curbs (1) are placed over the collecting gutters (2) so that the cutouts (6) of the curbs (1) overlap the edges (9) of the collecting gutters (2), then the joints (13) between the curbs (1) and gutters (2) are filled with cement, the road filler and the asphalt (14) are poured up to 7...10% of the height of the orifices (3) or cutouts (7), while observing the inclination for water flowing from the road axis towards the curbs.
