The invention relates to chemical technology, in particular to coordination compounds that can be used as photovoltaic converters of solar energy for solar power stations. Disclosed is a novel heterometallic complex of formula [CuMn(L)(CHOH)][Mn(NCS)]·2CHOH, wherein L is deprotonated residue of HL as product of condensation of salicylic aldehyde and monoethanolamine, and use thereof as substance exhibiting photovoltaic properties.
