SINGLE LAYER CHIPBOARD MADE OF GLUED CHIPS OR WOOD PARTICLES AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURING

The subject single layer chipboard made of glued chips or wood particles has a bulk density of less than 500 kg/m3 and consists of a mixture of crushed and cut chips. The share of crushed chips is 5% to 30 %, and the share of cut chips makes 70% to 95% of wood content in the chipboard. The length of chips on average is less than 40 mm. The claimed method of manufacturing single layer chipboard from glued chips or wood particles, in accordance with which glue is applied on chips in the drum mixer and chops are scattered with at least one scattering head, then pressed into the chipboard at pressure and temperature.
