METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF EFFECTIVENESS OF RADIOIODINE THERAPY OF POST-OPERATIVE METASTASES OF PAPILLARY CANCER OF THYROID GLAND

摘要

A method for prediction of effectiveness of radio-iodine therapy of post-operative metastases of papillary cancer of thyroid gland includes investigation of puncture material. As puncture material punctuate of post-operative metastasis is used, with determination of antigen-thyroid peroxidase, and if content of cells with that antigen exceeds 75 % the radio-iodine therapy is predicted to be effective, and at absence of the antigen the radio-iodine resistance of metastasis is predicted, this is indicative of ineffectiveness of radio-iodine therapy.
