The present invention relates to a method for providing a three-dimensional (3D) digital animation viewer for executing a digital animation by accessing a digital animation content providing server for providing a 2D or 3D digital animation, comprising the steps of: (a) when a 3D digital animation viewer function is selected by a user terminal, converting a specific 2D digital animation into a 3D digital animation on the basis of a 3D game engine for forming 3D images and storing the 3D digital animation; (b) producing a camera-directed 3D digital animation by storing camera walking data, generated by a user's direction in corresponding frames of the 3D digital animation; and (c) displaying the camera-directed 3D digital animation on the user terminal. Therefore, according to the present invention, a digital animation viewer function can be executed by automatically converting a 2D digital animation into a 3D digital animation on the basis of a 3D game engine, user-directable 3D digital animation content can be provided by allowing a user to freely adjust a rotation angle and store live camera walking data in respective frames, camera walking data directed by the user's experiences can be stored to be shared with and recommended to a third party, and a degree of immersion and a degree of realism in the 3D digital animation can be improved using visual effects.
