The purpose of the present invention is to provide a chlorophyll fluorescence image measuring device that can greatly reduce required storage capacity compared with conventional technology. A calculating device (3) has: an operation control means (11); memory (12); a pixel value change calculation means (13); a characteristic P detection means (14); a characteristic P confirmation means (15); a recording frame rate switching instruction means (16); and a recording means (17). The recording frame rate switching instruction means (16) instructs the memory means (17) such that recording is carried out switching from a high-speed frame rate (250 fps) to a normal frame rate (30 fps) at a switching point (for example, after 10 frames of the characteristic P) on the basis of detection results of the characteristic P detection means (14) and determination results of the characteristic P confirmation means (15). The recording means (17) records image frames at the high-speed frame rate up to the switching point and records image frames at the normal frame rate after the switching point.
