The oscillator has an achromatic mirror (2) located in a downstream of a rear outlet face (9) of a non-linear crystal glass (7). The glass is moved in translation in a plane along a direction inclined at a non-null angle with respect to another direction for simultaneously modifying respective optical lengths of two resonant cavities such that double resonance for a pair of longitudinal and complementary modes is maintained, while values of frequencies are continuously tunable in a wide range.
