A traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating depression, and a preparation method therefor. Raw pharmaceutical ingredients of the traditional Chinese medicine composition comprise epimedium, prepared fleece-flower roots, and astragalus roots. The preparation method comprises: taking raw pharmaceutical ingredients according to a proportion, and performing extraction by using water or an organic solvent soluble with water; or taking raw pharmaceutical ingredients according to a proportion, and performing preparation by using a water extraction and alcohol precipitation method. The traditional Chinese medicine composition has an obvious anti-depression effect.
