Management method and apparatus for dynamic host configuration protocol server and relay are disclosed, wherein, the method includes: defining a dynamic host configuration protocol DHCP server and/or DHCP relay type based on a common information model (CIM); configurating and managing a DHCP server for performing the DHCP server type and/or a DHCP relay for performing the DHCP relay type by a network management system with CIM management application mechanism. By means of the present invention, the problem caused by the manual configuration for realizing at least one of the DHCP server configuration and/or the DHCP relay configuration in related technologies is resolved, therefore, configuration efficiency is improved.
