Disclosed is a method for partitioning, grading and forecasting rock bursts in an underground coal mine, belonging to the category of a method for forecasting rock bursts in a coal mine. The method of forecasting integrates the superposed influence of factors including faults, changes in coal seam inclination, coal seam erosion, areas of changes in composite strata or thickness, changes in roof and floor lithology, remaining pillars in upper protective seam mining, and working face advanced abutment pressure; aiming at demonstrating mining areas at risk from rock bursts through integrated exponential analysis, the extent of the risk from rock bursts of different area sections being set as four grades, namely a slight risk area, an ordinary risk area, a moderate risk area and a severe risk area; and by analysing the effect of the superposed influence of multiple outburst area factors, the differing extents of the outburst risk in different mining area sections are determined; partitioning, grading and forecasting are performed on the mining areas; and according to the result of the partitioning, grading and forecasting, directed outburst prevention measures can be implemented.
