摘要

The present invention relates to a composition containing quercetin for preventing or treating malignant pleural mesothelioma or aiding treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma. The composition for preventing or treating malignant pleural mesothelioma or aiding treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma is characterized to containing quercetin. Quercetin regulates the expression of Sp1 regulatory gene such as Cyclin D1, Mcl-1, and Survivin in MS TO-211H cells. A cell death signal transduction is activates by isolating proteins, Bid, caspase-3, and PARP, reducing Bcl-xl, and increasing Bax in MSTO-211H cells. The result suggests that Sp1 is a novel molecular target of quercetin in malignant pleural mesothelioma. Therefore, quercetin can be used as an agent for preventing or treating malignant pleural mesothelioma or aiding treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
