The present invention relates to a graphene-magnetic metal composite for absorbing an electromagnetic wave and a method for manufacturing the same and, specifically, to a graphene-magnetic metal composite where a plate-shaped crystalline magnetic metal particle is bonded to the surface of a reduced graphene oxide (RGO) for absorbing an electromagnetic wave, and a method for manufacturing the same. According to the present invention, the graphene-magnetic metal composite for absorbing an electromagnetic wave is capable of maintaining magnetic permeability in wide broadband from a low frequency to a high frequency by bonding a magnetic metal particle which is a plate-shaped structure of a nanoscale to the RGO; and having excellent electromagnetic wave absorption capacity by controlling a dielectric constant through hybridization with graphene.
