Disclosed are a method for encoding and decoding a multi-view video using a hybrid codec and an apparatus for encoding and decoding a multi-view video using a hybrid codec. The method for encoding and decoding a multi-view video using a hybrid codec can comprise the steps of: first encoding and decoding a first input video using one codec of a hybrid codec; and encoding and decoding, using the other codec of the hybrid codec, a second input video from the result of first encoding and decoding the first input video using the one codec. In the step for encoding and decoding the second input video, the second input video can be encoded and decoded using the motion vector of an encoded and decoded block in the first input video corresponding to a block in the second input video being currently encoded and decoded. Also the referential encoding and decoding method using the hybrid codec has a technical concept capable of being easily applied to a hybrid codec composed of the same number of codecs as the views of a multi-view video having two or more views.
