The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of steel wires for tire steel cords having an excellent work hardening rate and steel wires produced thereby. As an embodiment, the present invention provides a manufacturing method of steel wires including a first patenting heat treatment, a first wire drawing, a second patenting heat treatment and a second wire drawing of wire rods wherein a wire drawing pass with a reduction of area of 20~23% in a section having a deformation (upsilon) of more than 1.0 or less than 3.0 is performed alternately with a wire drawing pass with a reduction of area of 10~13% upon the second wire drawing, and steel wires produced by the same. According to the present invention, a stability of phase transformation microstructures is enhanced by appropriately controlling an alloy composition of high-carbon steels, and steel wires without occurrence of delamination phenomena can be provided while high-speed working is possible down to fine wires at a level of 0.18 mm by improving a wire drawing process to reduce differences in a total draught between a work hardening rate and an accumulated deformation inside and outside a wire rod.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014;[Reference numerals] (AA) Existing technique
