The present invention relates to an improved bipolar plate manufacturing method for a polymer fuel cell in which the leakage of fluid in a fuel cell stack is prevented while a gasket is stably compressed in protruding portions formed in a welding line. The bipolar plate manufacturing method for the polymer fuel cell provided herein, in which the fuel cell bipolar plate uses a stainless steel sheet, includes: (a) a step for preparing the stainless steel sheet; (b) a step for molding a first bipolar plate and a second bipolar plate which have channels recessed to a first surface or a second surface by pressing the stainless steel sheet; (c) a step for molding opening portions which penetrate the first surface and the second surface formed in the first bipolar plate and the second bipolar plate; a step for aligning and fixing the first bipolar plate and the second bipolar plate; and a step for welding and bonding the channels of the first bipolar plate and the second bipolar plate, outer boundaries of manifolds, between the channels and the manifolds, and between the manifolds. The protruding portions are formed on both sides of the welding line positioned at the same place as the gasket so that the gasket is compressed in the protruding portions when the fuel cell stack is laminated.
