METHOD FOR ESTIMATING SLOWNESS, YOUNG'S MODULUS, POISSON'S RATIO AND BRITTLENESS OF HORIZONTAL DRILLING ZONE IN SWEET SPOT RANGE USING RESISTIVITY AND NEUTRON LOGGING DATA IN SHALE PLAY
The present invention relates to a method of estimating a slowness value, Youngs modulus, Poissons ratio, and brittleness of a horizontal drilling zone in a sweet spot of a shale gas field using resistivity and neutron logging data. According to the present invention, the slowness value in the horizontal drilling zone of the sweet spot is estimated by using a reference combination of the resistivity and neutron logging data without acoustic wave logging in the horizontal drilling zone of the sweet spot. In addition, correlations between the slowness value and Youngs modulus and between the slowness value and the Poissons ratio, which are suitable to characteristics of each area in the sweet spot of a vertical drilling zone, are obtained. After the slowness value of the horizontal drilling zone of the sweet spot is estimated, the Youngs modulus and the Poissons ratio of the horizontal drilling zone of the sweet spot may be estimated by using the slowness value. If the Youngs modulus and the Poissons ratio are estimated, the reliable brittleness for each position in the horizontal drilling zone of the sweet spot may be obtained.
