FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption technologies of sewage purification from metal ions and can be applied in different industries. Method includes application of sorbent, which consists of mixture of hydroxide and carbonate of magnesium, water processing with sorbent by their mixing with obtaining dispersion and formation as a result of processing of products in form of practically insoluble particles of chrome, iron and copper hydroxides and soluble salts of magnesium. As sorbent applied is suspended in water mixture of particles of hydroxide and carbonate of magnesium, immobilised on cellulose fibres, containing, in wt %, not less than 94% of fibres not longer than 1.23 mm long and not less than 54% fibres not more than 0.63 mm long, obtained dispersion is separated into liquid and solid phase by method of pressure flotation with obtaining purification product in form of flotation sludge, consisting of particles of hydroxides of chrome, iron, copper and cadmium carbonate, immobilised on cellulose fibres.;EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency of processing sewage water purification due to high sorption ability of applied sorbent.;4 cl, 4 ex
